Volume of prints depicting costume and trades, c.1810-30. 4to (275 x 205 mm), contemporary straight-grain red half roan, 71 lithographic plates on wove paper, printed captions at foot, all with fine contemporary hand-colouring, tissue-guards, binding rubbed (qty: 1) The plates depict men and women from various towns in Abruzzo (Lecca, Masciuni, Preta, Gioja, Bagani, Bellmonte, etc.), Salerno, Calabria, Cosenza, Naples proper and elsewhere. Provenance: John Yorke Esq (armorial bookplate with monkey's head crest; ownership inscription).
