A Late 18th/Early 19th Century Indo Persian Pesh Kabz, the 30cm single edge curved steel blade with double fuller to each side, false back edge and reinforced swollen tip, the 'T' shape spine with chiselled C scrolls, the gilt brass bolster and back strap with trefoil shaped terminal, with green jade pistol grip scales and bird head pommel set with steel suspension ring, lacks scabbard, 43cm
Footnote :- found in a sarcophogus type container set into the eaves of a 19th century crofter's cottage in Sullom, Shetland

Highlights of the Militaria section include an interesting collection of items relating to Colonel Alwyn de Blaquiere Valentine Paget, a Gentleman at Arms (bodyguard) to King Edward VII, a Second World War RAF Sector Clock, used in operations' rooms to aid track and intercept enemy aircraft over Britain and two collections of badges, buttons and insignia. A good offering of Ethnographica in the sale is lead by a 19th Century Australian Aboriginal Parrying Shield, from the Lower Murray River Region.
