An Enfield Martini Action Mk.II .450 Rifle, converted to a smooth bore, the 82.5cm steel barrel with hinged ladder rear sight, two barrel bands - the muzzle end set with a bayonet lug, with Birmingham proof marks and stamped 52, the left side of the receiver stamped with inspectors marks and Sold Out of Service arrows, the right side faintly marked ENFIELD/1874/II/2, the trigger guard and cocking lever with further inspector's stamps, the walnut full stock with inspector's stamps, the right side of the butt stamped with ENFIELD roundel over 1 and Sold Out of Service arrows, with steel butt plate, two sling swivels and steel clearing rod, 125cm; a British 1895 Pattern Socket Bayonet, with 55cm triangular section fullered steel blade, faint inspector's markings and numbered in Arabic, 64cm (2), contained in a later black hard plastic gun case with cleaning rod.

1 - Action works. Clean smooth bore. Rust pitting to barrel and all metalwork, particularly the receiver where the marks are very difficult to decipher. Bruising to the stock, with repairs to the butt. 2 - Bayonet does not fit this weapon. Rust pitting and wear to the marks. Lacks scabbard.
