Sold for £13,500
Estimated at £5,000 - £8,000

Both have not been examined out of the frames so no guidance can be given to the borders/edges. Both have dust and tiny flakes of paint trapped between the glass and surface. No cracks or obvious chips or pieces missing from the edged as viewed within the frames. Black lacquered papier mâché frames have typical minute crackelure and stress cracks throughout. The Bocca Tigris view has a different suspension ring from the Hongs example (an acorn and leaf terminal) and textured ring. The Bocca Tigris example is a cruder later plain example. Both have ink inscriptions which are clearly visible. The Hongs example has two flakes on the left upright of the glazing. Metalware on both slightly tarnished and with tiny angle dents/chips. 210513
