Taxidermy: Bengal Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris), dated 1930, Khanwa, India, attributed to Theobald Brothers, Taxidermy, Mysore, South West India, a young adult shoulder mount looking straight ahead, mouth agape, glass eyes, from the wall 53cm, height 62cm, mounted upon a later shaped shield, bearing metal plaque -"Shot by J.E.F.M, Khanwa, 6th April 1930", impressed number to verso of the headboard - 11702, taking into consideration Theobald brothers were only operating until around 1919, we feel the applied plaque may well be fictitious
