Assortment of Scottish Hammered Coins, 3 coins comprising; Scotland, Mary Queen of Scots, lion (or hardhead) 1558, (0.88g), second period (1558-60), with Earl of Morton heart and star countermark, these coins were notorious for forgeries and in 1575 were ordered to be returned to Edinburgh and the genuine ones stamped, (S.5450), partial countermark, legends and date mostly clear, Fair/Near Fine; together with; James VI, eightpenny groat, (1.30g), (S.5511), Fair; and, James VI, Eighth thistle merk 1602, (S.5500); Clipped o/wise Fine
