Taxidermy: A Cased Montagu's Harrier (Circus pygargus), circa 1900, by Charles Kirk (1872-1922), Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, a full mount adult male with head lowered in feeding pose, a large Vole prey underfoot, mounted upon soil, rock, and moss covered groundwork with tall grasses to the rear, enclosed within a typical five-glass table display case, with painted taped framework, 49cm by 23.5cm by 45.5cm, taxidermist's trademark small brass label to interior lower left side, Charles Kirk was born and educated in Edinburgh, he was an established photographer and naturalist, he travelled to London to learn his trade with World renowned taxidermists Rowland Ward Ltd, and left to establish his own company back in Scotland around 1894.

To include a collection of Indian and European Game Trophies from Kilberry Castle, Argyll. Many of the trophies date from the second half of the 19th century, with rare and historical specimens including Asian Water Buffalos, Astor Markhors, Bengal Tigers, Indian Leopards and Himalayan Tahr.
