Two Austrian Model 1853/1889 Infantry Pioneer's Swords, each with a heavy 46cm machete type blade with a single fuller to one side, the steel hilt with rounded quillons to the crossguard, numbered 1400, the pistol grip with ebony grip scales, with steel mounted wood scabbard, lacking original leather covering, 68cm Footnote:- these swords were issued to technical troops and designed for clearing woodland.

. Each with heavily greased blade which is in good condition. The steel hilt and scabbard mounts have orange rust pitting and the scabbard is missing its original leather covering.
