. Boldly Germanic, this Mercedes Benz 200TE comes from an age in car production when engineers had the last say rather than the accountants. This wonderful and clean example of this well-built classic estate is finished in silver with contrasting blue interior. The paint work is original with no signs of wear or corrosion, exterior plastic trim in good order too. The interior is very nice showing some wear consummate with age. The wheels would benefit from a repaint but are currently disguised with plastic trims and tyres are about 50% worn. The car starts and runs well, though a loose exhaust heat guard causes a loud vibration on revs. On the open road it is responsive, smooth and corners very well. This is an extremely practical classic and owners reluctantly sell good examples. W124 popularity is climbing rapidly due to the huge prices of its predecessor, the W123 Estate. Here is a car that has serious cool appeal but can be used as an everyday economical workhorse. Car has only one key. Paintwork is in good condition.
