London: George Allen, 1955, three volumes, octavo, fourth, second, and first impressions respectively, folding maps, Return with signature '4' and sagging text on p.49, each with ink ownership inscription on ffep, first two vols. with small ink stamp on maps (Two Towers map loose at rear), Return with small marginal tear pp.51/52 (not affecting text), otherwise excellent copies internally, original cloth, gilt, each spine lightly sunned and minor shelfwear, top edges red, dust jackets, unclipped, first two vols. with ink stamp two lower flaps and rear panels, each with ink ownership inscription to upper flap, come chipping and creasing to extremities, some soiling to each, vols. 2 & 3 with central crease along spines.
