Two 20th Century Zulu Cow Hide Shields, each of tan and white colouring, of elliptical form, with central double band of slits which secure the wood rib, with looped hide handle, 89cm by 64cm and 85cm by 66cm (2) Provenance: - Hodnet Hall, Hodnet, Shropshire

. One with two small knife slits to the hide and the central wood pole needs securing. One with two repaired knife slits to the hide. The overall lengths of the shields including the central pole are 148cm and 155cm
