A Late Victorian 1856 Pattern Pioneer's Sword, the 57cm saw back steel blade double edged for the last 17cm, stamped at the ricasso with broad arrow, inspector's marks and issue date 9 '00, the heavy cast brass stirrup hilt with ribbed rivetted grip, the crossguard stamped 4.01/V/2.LAN./5 above the scroll quillon, the leather scabbard with brass mounts, the mouth stamped 6/03, 2/M8F

Blade greasy/dirty. Minor bruising to hilt. Scabbard mounts have dents. Generally good condition.
