Taxidermy: A Cased Re-Creation of a New Zealand Kākāpō (Strigops habroptilus), modern, a superb re-creation of a full mount adult New Zealand Kākāpō, perched upon a dry branch issuing from painted a soil covered groundwork beneath, amidst a natural setting of tall dry grasses and ferns, enclosed within a modern five-glass table display case, 56cm by 33cm by 59.5cm, based upon a natural specimen housed within the Oxford Natural History Museum, collected by Sir Walter Buller for Steven Silver in the early 1880's.
