An 18th Century Flintlock Officer's Pistol by Benjamin Brooke, London, the slightly swamped 22cm steel barrel faintly engraved with maker's name and with London proof marks, signed lock plate, walnut stock with ringed brass twin ramrod pipes, brass trigger guard with foliate finial, open foliate work brass side plate, vacant escutcheon, the spurred butt plate embossed with a grotesque mask, with brass tipped wood ramrod, 39cm

Action works, holds at full and half cock. Bruising to stock with a patch repair to the left fore-end and a sliver of wood missing to the right side. Crack through the grip. Small dent to the butt plate.
