A British Coup-de-Poing Bifacial Flint Hand Axe, Middle Acheulean Palaeolithic (300,000-200,000 BC), labelled, "[Case] A, No.301". Believed to be from Thames gravel. The Inness label is inscribed, "38 Coup de Poing Milton St. (?) Thames Gra...". 9.2 cm, 102.4 g; and two others, similar, one labelled "No.302. Inness label now lacking but recorded as reading, "37 Coup de Poing W/K(?)idmin's Scri ... (?), 8.3 cm, 97.3 g, the other numbered, "No.303" and inscribed, "Barton Cliff, Lymington 1892 D" (point apparently broken and lacking), 8.9 cm, 107.8 g (3)
