Taxidermy: A Cased Pair of Peregrine Falcons (Falco peregrinus), circa 1880-1900, by William Hope, 44 George Street, Edinburgh, a pair of full mount adults, each mounted upon painted faux rocks, above dry grasses and moss covered groundwork, set against a pale blue painted interior, enclosed within an adapted cabinet style single-glass display case, supported upon four ball and claw feet, case size - 76.5cm by 35.5cm by 85cm, overall height including legs and upper gallery 117cm, taxidermist's full paper trade label to interior lower right, illegible hand written label to verso, by repute purchased from a sale of Edinburgh Museums surplus items circa 1930.
