Antlers/Horns: Axis Deer or Chital (Axis axis), circa 1855, India, adult buck antlers on cut upper skull cap, eight points (4+4), right antler 67cm (26¼"), left antler 67.5cm (26½"), tip to tip 45cm (17¾"), widest span 50cm (19¾"), height 75cm, mounted upon a shaped shield, another set on cut upper skull cap, nine points (4+5), right antler 75cm (29½"), left antler 78cm (30¾"), tip to tip 56cm, widest span 64cm, height 51cm, each with painted number No 14 to shield, reference within game book entry - "Cheetul Stags, shot by George Grieg. There are a good many of these heads and several are marked 13 as it is no use entering them all in detail", (2)

To include a collection of Indian and European Game Trophies from Kilberry Castle, Argyll. Many of the trophies date from the second half of the 19th century, with rare and historical specimens including Asian Water Buffalos, Astor Markhors, Bengal Tigers, Indian Leopards and Himalayan Tahr.
