A Victorian Diamond Crescent Brooch, a row of graduated old cut diamonds within two rows of smaller old cut and rose cut diamonds, in white collet settings, total estimated diamond weight 6.00 carat approximately, measures 4.4cm by 4.3cm see illustration

. The brooch is in good condition. It fastens with a pin and revolver catch. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver fronted gold. The three largest diamonds measure 5.80mm x 5.51mm x 4.22mm = 0.94 carat approximately, 6.89mm x 6.28mm x 4.65mm = 1.40 carat approximately, 5.84mm x 5.86mm x 3.83mm = 0.92 carat approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity SI1/SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 12.7 grams. CR made 5th September 2019
