A 19th Century Stonebow by Thomas Jackson, Upper George Street, Portman Square, London, the walnut stock with chequered grip and scroll finger grip, steel mounts with lift-up cocking lever secured by a spring thumb-catch, the hinged rear sight with four peep-holes and engraved with maker's name, the steel curved bow with hinged stirrup front sight, the later bowstring with baluster turned bone dividers, span 81cm, length 83cm, together with an additional stirrup sight.
