An Ebony Veneered Quarter Chiming Table Clock, signed John Archambo, London, circa 1750, inverted bell top with brass ball finials, side carrying handles and pierced frets, bracket feet, 8-inch arch brass dial with a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted dial centre with mock pendulum and date apertures and signed on a silvered plaque, dial arch with strike/silent selection, triple fusee movement with a verge escapement, quarter chiming with six hammers striking a nest of six bells and striking a further bell for the hours, movement backplate elaborately engraved with floral and scroll decoration, movement secured in by two engraved brackets, together with a later oak travelling case with side carrying handles

Top finial is loose, case with small scratches and some cracks to the veneers in parts, later side wooden frets, metal mounts are discoloured, back door glass with small scratches, dial is discoloured, quarter chiming and striking correctly, movement needs cleaning, movement in going order, later pendulum.
