A Pair of Diamond and Jade Drop Earrings, circa 1930, a row of eight-cut diamonds in foliate style suspends a jade drop in the form of a double gourd and leaf, with screw-on fittings for pierced ears, drop length 4.8cm, in a fitted case by JC Vickery, Regent St. W.

NB one drop is detached from the fitting

Sold for £1,300
Estimated at £300 - £400

Overall the earrings are in good condition. The drop, whilst detached, looks fairly simple to reattach, as the loop connection has merely split. The earrings bear no hallmark, nor stamp, but in our opinion they would test as gold. The jade measures 2.1cm by 0.7cm. It is a mottled green colour. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 0.25, colour J/K/L, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 5.0 grams. CR made 28th August 2013
