♦2 x Italian States, Duchy of Milan, Charles II of Spain (as Duke of Milan 1665-1700), Hammered Silver Coins comprising: filippo (100 soldi) 1676, obv. CAROLVS. II .REX. HISPANIARVM around armoured bust of Charles II right, rev. MEDIOLANI.DVX.ET.C. around crowned shield of arms with smaller shield of Milan in centre, shield enclosed in an ornate frame with lion’s head either side; diameter 40mm, wt. 27.18g, .953 silver (tested & verified); usual uneven flan but undamaged surfaces with good detail both sides, last digit of date overstruck on ‘1,’ scarce GFine to AVF, together with half Filippo (50 soldi) 1676, legends, portrait & shield details as for 1 filippo except that shield not in ornate frame, diameter 35mm, wt. 13.71g, .955 silver (tested & verified), uneven flan but generally good surfaces, Fine to GFine.
