Virtue & Co., [1890-1893], three volumes, chromolithograph frontispieces, additional titles and plates as called for, advertisements bound to rear of each volume, very occasional light spotting mostly to preliminaries, original pictorial cloth gilt, all edges gilt, some edge-wear, vol. 1 spine slightly marked, lower inner joint split, spine of vol. 3 a little faded, lower boards of vols. 2 and 3 with some staining, scuff to lower board of vol. 1.

Highlights include a first edition of an important work on the English colonies in America and the West Indies published in 1687, a collection of watercolours depicting landscapes and ancient sites of Egypt and the Middle East, and a selection of mid-19th century albumen print photographs of Rome. Further notable lots include plates from a mid-18th century plan of Paris by Michael Etienne Turgot, a Victorian autograph album and a copy of Eugene Grasset's 'Plants and the Application to Ornament'.
