De Saulles, 56mm, obv. bust of Edward facing right, rev. bust of Queen Alexandra facing right (Eimer 1871a, BHM 3737) good extremely fine and house in original case of issue; sold together with; The Three British Kings of 1936 medal set, containing 3x silver medals by Turner and Simpson, each 51mm; George V, Silver Jubilee 1935 (Eimer 2030, BHM 4263); Abdication of Edward VIII 1936 (Eimer 2040a, BHM 4280); and, Coronation of George VI 1937 (Eimer 2047a, BHM 4351); all presented in fitted case of issue, some damage to case with one end taped, extremely fine or about so (4 medals in 2 boxes)

Our November specialist Coins and Banknotes sale will feature a good range of coins to appeal to collectors of all fields. From Celtic staters to modern Royal Mint issues and everything in between. There is a small but significant collection of hammered gold coins, some in excellent condition and seldom offered at auction.
One of the highlights of the selection is a fantastic Henry VI, Anglo-Gallic salut d’or, struck at Rouen, Normandy in the first half of the 15th century, the coin is in excellent condition with the devices clear and well stuck. A wonderful Henry VIII, first coinage angel adds further appeal to the hammered section, especially in such a well-preserved state.
Enthusiasts of more modern Royal Mint proof coinage will not be disappointed with a large offering of both gold and silver boxed sets and coins. In addition, there is a sizeable offering of sovereigns and silver proof coinage.
