A Late 19th Century Bagpipe Banner to 72nd Duke of Albany's (1st Seaforth Highlanders), in cream gros grain silk with bullion thread fringed borders, one side appliqued and embroidered with the regimental badge, the opposing side with ribbon banners embroidered with Battle Honours for MYSORE, CARNATIC, HINDOOSTAN, PETWAR, SEBASTAPOL, CAPE OF GOOD HOPE, EGYPT, KABUL, SOUTH AFRICA, CHARASTAN, INDIA, KANDAHAR, TEL-EL-KEBIR and AFGHANISTAN, all centred by the crest of a dexter cubit arm holding a cross crosslet over the legend SEMPER PARATUS (Always Ready), 60cm by 40cm
