Auction: Raymond Booth: An Artist Immersed in Nature, 7th Oct, 2023
Raymond Booth (1929-2015) was perhaps the greatest botanical artist and illustrator of his generation, and his passion for the natural world shines through in his highly detailed oil studies of flora and fauna. A collection of works from the West Yorkshire artist’s estate will be sold in a single owner sale at Tennants this October. The Raymond Booth Studio Sale will comprise circa 90 lots of his exquisite botanical paintings and intense yet intimate landscapes depicting the woods and fields around his home in Leeds.
A further small selection of works from the Studio will be in the British, European and Sporting Art Sale on 16th March.
