♦Henry VI, First Reign (1422-1461), 2 x Silver Groats comprising: (1) London Mint, leaf-pellet issue, mm Cross Fleury, obv. HENRIC DI GRA REX ANGLI Z FRANC around crowned bust of king within tressure of nine arcs, leaf on neck & pellet each side of crown, rev. long cross pattée, CIVITAS LONDON, extra pellet in two quarters; wt. 3.38g, slightly undersized flan but well struck with very good portrait detail & undamaged surfaces VF or+ & (2) London Mint, leaf-trefoil issue, obv. mm Cross Patonce, HENRIC DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRAN around crowned bust of king, leaf on breast & trefoil either side of neck, saltire stops, rev. mm plain cross, long cross pattée, CIVITAS LONDON, leaf before & trefoil after LONDON, saltire stops in outer legend; wt. 3.62g, irregular edge in parts (sometime clipped), good portrait & most of legends clear, dark tone VF.
