An Evans Repeating Rifle Company .44 Calibre Lever Action Repeating Sporting Rifle, the 66cm octagonal browned steel barrel stamped EVANS REPEATING RIFLE MECHANIC FALLS M.E. PAT.DEC.8.1868 & SEPT.16.1871 and numbered 2413, with case hardened action and magazine extending down the walnut stock with cut-outs to the sides, loading through an aperture with sliding cover to the butt plate, with chromed steel double scroll cocking lever

The bore looks good with crisp rifling. The action works. There is pitting and patching to the loading lever. There is minor pitting to the case hardened magazine and barrel. There is a sliver of wood missing from the upper left side of the fore-end, and some bruising to the stock. A very heavy gun
