A Display of Parts from a Crashed Spitfire Mark I, Serial No.X4423, including instrument faces, ammunition box lid, manufacturer's data plates from various instruments, joy stick with machine gun firing button, wing securing bolts, pilot's parachute D ring, radio antenna, Mark I gun sight, remains of compass etc, all fixed to a board.
**These parts are from the Spitfire which crashed near the farm of James Ingledew, near Hackforth, North Yorkshire on 8th November 1940, killing the pilot. See previous lot
