In an overall good and original state of preservation. Covered in a layer of dirt and discoloured varnish. Slight stretcher shadow. Small scuff to top edge approx. 2cm from right hand corner. Further small imperfection/abrasion to surface above the gentlemans head approx. 1cm below the wooden shelf. Three tiny losses/pin/push marks approx. 12cm from lower left hand corner along lower edge. Other odd tiny surface mark/imperfection i.e above the lady's right eyebrow. Areas of fine stable craquelure. Damage to moulding of frame upper right hand side and mitre joints somewhat seperated to all four corners.
