A Rare Railway Mail-Coach Guard's Timepiece, circa 1840, brass and mahogany case engraved to the front George Littlewort, VR Maker London, sliding back cover engraved London-Birmingham 19 Euston Station 1825, enamel dial with Roman numerals, inside case numbered 179

Case with surface scratches, some of the engraved writing to the front and back is rubbed in parts, back cover with small dents, wooden sides with one small crack to the top side and dents and chips in other parts, case front with one small rivet missing, dial with chips and cracks, minute hand has come off and is loose on the dial, movement not winding and not hand setting, movement not working.
