Antlers/Horns: Indian Water Buffalo (Bubalus arnee), circa 1855, Central India, a large set of adult bull horns on cut frontlet, right horn 109cm (42¾"), left horn 108.5cm (42½"), widest span 115cm (45"), tip to tip 74cm (29"), mounted upon a hardwood shield, with small attached plaque "65, Arnee 43½" X 12½" X 29", reference within game book entry - "No 65 Arnee", The following 24 specimens were killed by George Greig, late 93rd High's, and sent here in 1899 on the death of Col A.C. Nightingale in whose house there were hanging".
