Boards very rubbed, scuffed and soiled, with frayed extremities, lacking spine, first gathering detached from block; the plates with marginal foxing and finger-soiling, the first map (The World) with hole outside image, ink stains and splitting fold; ink inscription to front pastedown. A scarce atlas in this edition, printed from 'a set of entirely new plates, on an enlarged scale'
