Bowles, 1728, quarto, title in red and black, folding engraved frontispiece and twenty-seven plates, contemporary ownership inscription on front free endpaper, occasional dust-staining/soiling mainly to margins, B1 with small repaired closed tear to blank margin, damp-staining to gutter of pastedown/front free endpaper, contemporary speckled calf re-backed (retaining original backstrip), a little scuffed/rubbed, corners bumped.
This copy has the advertisement leaf on verso of the title-page and four contents leaves after the introduction but with imprint J. Batley, T. Bowles and J. Bowles which is different to that mentioned in ESTC or in other copies offered at auction.
