It is possible that the figure depicted in this painting is Mary Fedden's husband Julian Trevelyan.

In overall sound condition. The canvas is enclosed at the back. Fine- medium spaced cracquelure within the surface and impasto which is essentially stable. Very light surface dirt. Not examined with a UV light.
