A Cut Glass Table Oil Lamp, circa 1880, the spherical shade with tight diamond lozenge cut main band, upon a gilt brass S&G Diamante Patent, Berlin burner, set into a rounded reservoir, upon a main vase shape base with repeat hexagon deep cutting and on a triple stepped and star cut broad circular base, 76cm high over chimney, 62.5cm high (excluding chimney)
Cover - several chips on the rim. Small chips on the tip of the spire finial. Body - polished down chip on the rim. Some very minor flaking on the rim. The gilding on the acid etched detail is almost completely rubbed off. There is blue residue around the spigot nozzle (nb there is no spigot). Otherwise good. 170609
