A Good Early Bells-In-View Musical Box By Greiner & Bremond

circa 1861, Ser. No. 8923, playing a varied programme including the rarely heard Varsovienne by C. Bach, single-section comb with the six plain polished tuned bells on linier-buffet rack each with rivet-form strikers on lever-select, in red stained interior under dustlid, in part-grained case with the front and lid of finely figured rosewood, crossbanded in Kingwood and central fields with complex stained fruitwood floral inlay - 22.1/2in. (57cm) wide, the cylinder 13in. (33cm) together with two books: Musical Box - Ord-Hume and The Music Box Handbook - Webb (3)
