A broken run of one hundred and twenty-two volumes from the Collins New Naturalist Series, comprising: volumes 1-27, 29-35, 37, 38, 42, 44, 45, 47-49, 52, 53, 56, 58, 60, 62, 63, 66-68, 72, 75, 78-140, including duplicates of vol. 6, 22, 42, 60 and 82.
Vols. 1, 6 (x1), 7, 15, 20, 21, 22 (x1), 24, 26, 34, 42 (both), 52, 53, 58, 60 (x1), 67, 82 (x1), 84 reprints or later editions. At least fourteen with price-clipped jackets, ink ownership inscriptions in vol. 19, 21, 23, 31, 56, vol. 18 with school pize label, 24 with small ex-libris label, 20 and 47 ex-library, early volumes with chipped jackets and some with loss to head and foot of spine, 22 dust jacket torn, several spines heavily faded, together with:

Highlights include a first edition of an important work on the English colonies in America and the West Indies published in 1687, a collection of watercolours depicting landscapes and ancient sites of Egypt and the Middle East, and a selection of mid-19th century albumen print photographs of Rome. Further notable lots include plates from a mid-18th century plan of Paris by Michael Etienne Turgot, a Victorian autograph album and a copy of Eugene Grasset's 'Plants and the Application to Ornament'.
