A Moore Bros Encrusted Porcelain Table Oil Lamp, circa 1880, the scrolled and partly gilded shaped oval base surmounted by two putti musicians playing the harp and violin-cello, amongst the orchid enriched open pierced tree trunk supporting a compressed spherical reservoir applied with further orchids, bulbs and leaves (burner, shade and chimney now lacking), brown printed globe and ribband mark, also impressed marks and registration number, 38cm high

Shade, chimney and burner (it was Messangers Patent) lacking. General small chips and flakes here and there, but generally in reasonable condition. The violin cello bow has got a third knocked off, piece not retained. The other putto has a harp which has been broken and reglued (finial still lacking), and top left of instrument knocked off and pieces not retained. Stained cracks visible underneath the base. Other cracks visible in leaves and stem etc. Sold a/f. 070609
