It has been relined, cleaned, restored and varnished in the early part of the 20th century, it does appear to be in good satisfactory condition, however some restoration is evident amongst some of the cracks and paint shrinkage within the picture, this does look minimal. The top edge near the rebate appears to have been camouflaged with some restoration, there is fine crackelure throughout with dirt and discoloured varnish. It is contained within a good quality elaborately decorated 1960/70s plaster and wooden frame (081010)
