An 1832 Reform Act Commemorative Pearlware Jug, circa 1832, of ovoid form, printed in manganese with THE OLD ROTTEN TREE, the reverse with William IV and Queen Adelaide, titled CONSTITUTION HILL

The subject is derived from a satirical print titled The Reformers' Attack the Old Rotten Tree or the Foul Nests of the Cormorants in Danger and refers to the Rotten or Pocket Boroughs, most of which were abolished by the 1832 Reform Act.
