A Late 16th Century Italian 'Pear Stalk' Cabasset, the one piece steel skull with raised medial ridge rising to a vestigial 'pear stalk', the base set with floriform rivets over the shallow flange brim with rolled and diagonally incised border

. Some delamination to the surface. Internally there are traces of leather around some of the rivets. The brim has six vacant rivet holes.
