A Staffordshire Pottery "Sheffield Flood" Commemorative Mug, circa 1864, of cylindrical form, printed in brown and overpainted with two scenes inscribed SHEFFIELD FLOOD MARCH 12TH 1864 THE BRIGG ROW HILLSBRO' WHERE THE WATER REACHED TO THE HEIGHT OF 15 FEET and THE BRIDGE AT HILLSBRO' ALL DESTROYED EXCEPT ONE ARCH, and with a painted stylised flower spray within black line borders, 10.5cm high
