Taxidermy: Anthropomorphic Duelling Mice and Mole Diorama, modern, a pair of duelling field mice in battle atop a small wooden log, one with head laid back after being run through by his opponent, two attending grave digger moles in upright position with miniature spades in hand, the empty grave below awaiting the loser, set upon painted groundwork amidst tall grasses and ferns, enclosed within a five-glass table display case with ebonised taped frame 37cm by 16.5cm by 25.5cm, based upon an original diorama by Victorian taxidermist Herman Ploucquet (1816-1878), exhibited at The Great Exhibition 1851, see Voodoo Salon by Errol Fuller (2014) page 79
