Fairly significant time staining across sheet. With more pronounced horizontal scorch marks mostly contained to upper left hand side, with a further highly evident vertical scorch mark to centre (see images). The colour depth is faded and muted in general to an overall blue to grey tone - although some elements of pigment such as the bright blue stripes decorating the shoulders of the central mounted figure with staff retain good vibrancy. Some sporadic foxing spots (2-3 particularly pronounced dark brown foxing spots to sheet within lower reaches of the hill, background far left). No evidence of cockling. Not examined out of the frame.

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
