♦Charles I, 2 x Shillings comprising: (1) Aberystwyth Mint, mm book, obv. bust with large square lace collar, plume to left, large XII to right, crown weakly struck (& correspondingly, right side of rev. shield also weakly struck), rev. large oval quartered shield, plume above, inner beaded circles both sides, S.2883, small rev. metal flaw at 10 o’clock, scarce Fine to GFine & (2) Tower Mint under the King, mm triangle in circle, large Briot’s bust with stellate lace collar, double-arched crown, rev. quartered square-topped shield over cross Moline, S.2799, irregular edge, clipped in places & flat spots in legends o/wise AFine to Fine.
