Original canvas which is slightly loose and buckling on stretcher. Visible stretcher shadow, pronounced fine stable cracquelure throughout. Likely small repaired puncture to the right of St Paul's eye, no more than 0.5cm across. Tiny incongruous looking patch between second and third finger of St Peter's left hand. Small back to front abrasion bottom edge left of keys. Several tiny losses and surface abrasions consistent with age, some slight frame rubbing to visible edges. General surface dirt and discoloured varnish.
