Purchased from John Mitchell and Son, 30 January 1976 for £895

Two broad low-level undulations running horizontally through the sheet - the topp one through the face of the sitte, and the bottom just below her hands. Approx. 1inch tear to the centre of the bottom edge running vertically up into the sheet, with turned-back creases either side of the tear and the edges of the tear slightly raised (see image). Pin holes in all four corners, with a brown arced stain round the one in the bottom right corner. With a couple of further tiny nick around these. One small scuff/black deposit with white over the top in the table edge to the right of the hand. Slight darkening/oxidisation of the paper, particularly at the edges where in contact with the mount.
