Two late 18th century carved ivory fans, comprising: a fan with pierced sticks and guards painted in gold and silver, a paper mount printed with blue and silver design with central cartouche of three hand coloured figures recto, verso with contrasting white and gold printed decoration and cartouche of a figure seated on a swing with two others, 27cm, another similar with stylised pierced sticks and guards, with gold and silver painted decoration, printed paper mount decorated and hand coloured with figures in a pastoral landscape recto and four figures and sheep verso, 27cm (2)

. Blue & silver mount fan- Sticks all discoloured & show wear. Glued repair and split to one guard, other worn & possibly a repair. Couple of tears to the paper mount, some discolouration & wear to both sides. Figures with sheep fan- 4 small splits to the sticks, one detatched from mount & split into two pieces. Both the guards worn, one split from mount, other split and restored. Overall sticks & guards very worn, painted decoration rubbed. Mount- couple of small splits & wear overall. Repainted- last part of the mount torn & missing, overall wear
