The bag is in good condition. There is some staining to the interior. It appears to have once had an additional decoration. The interior of the bag has labels 'MADE IN ENGLAND'. The plaque is marked 'MELLANA', 'BREVETE' and with an eagles' head, for 18 carat gold, Paris, also with initials 'DM'. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 1.30, colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. CR made 9th January 2012

Regarding Pictures, Prints and Works on Paper, works are not examined out of the frame, unless specifically stated. Tennants Auctioneers do not cover damage to gilded wood or plaster picture frames, or to picture frame glass whilst the item is in our possession.
